Warning — prophetic illiterates wakeup — 4 Comments

  1. You lost me at Perry Stone. You’re telling “prophetic illiterates” to wake up but you have no more discernment yourself than to recommend a TV charlatan like Perry Stone? I started reading your blog at first because of your very wise post on loads and burdens. I guess we all have our blind spots. Also, if you’ve been a Christian for any amount of time, you know that so many times, so many people have predicted Jesus return. And so many have been wrong. Be careful joining the ranks of those who have prophesied falsely. Listen to some RC Sproul or John MacArthur and leave those “sow an uncommon seed and reap an uncommon harvest” people alone. They are those who make long prayers for a pretense and devour widows houses. TBN runs on the donations of poor widows.

  2. Mainly I use scripture. I listen to and read a wide variety of teachers for prophecy. Sorry to hear you think Perry is a charlatan, he has some real wisdom in certain areas. My concern is determining what the Bible says, and listening to what the Holy Spirit tells me is true. I’ve been studying and teaching this stuff since 1974. This is truly the time of the signs. There is no way to doubt that. I have no idea when Jesus will call us up to meet Him in the air. But it is imminent. I expect Gog/Magog in the next few years—maybe sooner. Things are lining up.

All we can do is fervently pray that the Lord will use the Holy Spirit to guide us through the mess. He will, IF we ask. Pray for wisdom.
Until then, I listen, pray, chew up the meat, and spit out the bones. No human knows it all. I certainly don’t claim to. But the Holy Spirit does know it all. I trust Him.

Whatcha thinkin'?
