Knowing Jesus personally in daily living — 5 Comments

  1. I probably over generalized. I’m not a language expert. But my understanding is that the word for know as in Adam knew Eve is the same as the greek words in the New Testament. The slang usage is the same and the same meaning of intimacy is true of each. It’s been a couple decades since I looked all the stuff up I need to review again. But it is my understanding that they have the same general meaning.

  2. The Hebrew word in Vine’s yada is defined:To know God is to have intimate experiential knowledge of Him. In the Greek, ginosko says this knowing of God is obtained, not by intellectual activity, but by operation of the Holy Spirit. They are both used to describe the union between man and woman.
