How ugly was Jesus? — 7 Comments

  1. Yes Jesus was HEART & SPIRITUALLY a wonderful teacher & lord. The heart is what matters in obedience. PEOPLE WILL BE JUDGED and Jesus died on the cross for our sins. It is written do not conform to the ways of the world.

  2. “…the evidence is pretty good that the image was “burned” into the cloth by the power of His resurrection.”
Really? I thought it had been debunked as a 12th century fraud.
In 1988 a radiocarbon dating test was performed on small samples of the shroud. The laboratories at the University of Oxford, the University of Arizona, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, concurred that the samples they tested dated from the Middle Ages, between 1260AD and 1390AD. Indulgences were very common in the middle ages. Wikipedia is your friend.

  3. You know who could tell us for sure? When you find him tell him to give me a call. Being all knowing, he already has my number. (snark)

  4. It doesn’t have anything to do with our salvation. I think it’s more fun to believe it’s real. I’ll just believe that it was the power of His resurrection that made the image. I think it’s funny how serious everyone is about it.
