Self-publishers need excellent typography — 2 Comments

  1. Hi David,
my friend recommended your post on “Father and Son” as I am producing a Bible Translation. I clicked over here to get some more training on typography. I have the first edition of Writing in InDesign on Kindle. I was going to buy the p-book, but will wait for the second edition now. Can you tell me when it will be available, and will it have a section on writing directly into InDesign, which I would like to do,(Robin Williams says she does, but doesn’t tell anyone else how to do it), and how to use the book feature in InDesign to compile the book. Your work is inspirational, and I look forward to more information from your fertile mind.

  2. Hello,

The writing is almost complete. Because it covers the next version of InDesign, I have to wait until that is released. Robin Williams was one of my first inspirations with her PageMaker 4 book in the early 1990s. I always loved her writing style. I usually offer a cheap proofing edition of the edition—which I will announce here as soon as it is available. Thanks for the good words and the encouragement.
