Writing in InDesign ebooks are up or coming

Apple is always slow with additions to iBooks, but you can get the ePUB that will be there from Lulu or NookBooks.

Amazon just let me know that the Kindle version is up. It will take a while before the print and Kindle versions are linked up.

The response to the book has been very good

I am really pleased that several people seem to think the basic concept has merit. You can see a discussion of the concept on Joel’s site. I was thinking this morning that I forgot to mention one of the aspects of InDEsign that solves one of the major concerns with using InDesign:

InDesign has a built in word processor interface

I never use it, so I forget to mention it. In addition, InDesign offers InCopy which is a separate app with strong connections that allows a larger publishing concern to move all the writing into the writing department while leaving the graphic design to graphic designers. As a one person operation, that does not interest me. I also never use the word processing interface. But they are there to be used if you wish.
